Something broke mid-update, is there any way to recover?

I seem to have gotten myself in a huge mess, I'm hoping somebody here can help me sort it out. When I run sudo apt upgrade I get:

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
You might want to run 'apt --fix-broken install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies. sabnzbdplus : Depends: python3-sabyenc but it is not installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt --fix-broken install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

so I run sudo apt --fix-broken install which gives me:

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Correcting dependencies... Done

and now I'm stuck, I've been Googling for hours trying various things to recover my system, but I can't seem to make any headway. Any suggestions to fix this mess?
